My first graduate project reimagines the well-known fairy-tale of ‘Rapunzel’ into a promenade performance. In my adaption, Rapunzel grows up as a medieval herbal healer determined to defy patriarchal society. Characters are inspired by influential medieval women and the costumes take inspiration from fashion of the 13th and 14th century with vivid textiles and colours.
